Hank

Who is Hank? Hank is a guitar stand, Hank is a lamp, he's both. If you're like me, you pack as many instruments and racks and computers into your studio as you can. Hank can let you utilize that space that you grudgingly spared to light the place.

El Saxco Gig Bag/Mute

Here you have it, a gig bag that doubles as a mute for the sax. They have located flaps that let you reach in and play your horn while it's in the bag. This reduces the sound output by 70%. All all the parents rejoiced.

Janssen Guitar Arm Rest

This clever little invention suction cups onto the top of guitar and gives the player a nice rounded edge to rest their arm on. This eliminates the problem of the edge of the guitar cutting into the arm and it also protects the finish of the instrument. It also prevent the arm from damping the resonance of the guitar resulting in better tone.

The Ritmonome

This device will definitely find a market with the progressive crowd. It's a metronome that can be programmed to put out clicks and accents on any subdivision of the beat. You can even combine multiple beats for polyrhythmic and multirhythmic applications.

Multitar

This is a unique little device that lets you turn a 12 string guitar into a 6, 8, 9 or whatever string guitar. It's a little metal device mounted inside the guitar that sticks up a little out of the sound hole. The little T's are there to hook strings on and get them out of the way.

Varidrive Pedals
sib.jpg (17772 bytes)
S.I. B. has a line of pedals that all have 12AX7 tubes in them. The Varidrive is a distortion/overdrive pedal that really screams, you can get it do more of a bluesier sound by replacing the 12AX7 with a little tamer tube. I really enjoyed the Fatdrive, it doesn't distort at all, it just gives you a wonderful thick clean tone. The Echodrive was a prototype analog delay pedal (with 12AX7 tube) that was, as you'd expect, nice and warm and thick. The delays had that analog high end rolloff as it regenerates.

EZ Wrap Cable Ties

These are nice, simple cable ties. This company has been making them for a number of years but they're just now trying to get into the music market. I grabbed a few and they work nicely.

EZ-String Peg Pullers

This little anodized aluminum peg puller will go nicely with the anodized aluminum bottle opener that you guitar players already have on your key ring.
