Dawn of the Dead Schecter

The Dawn of the Dead Schecter

The Jagermeister guitar that Schecter showed last year was pretty cool but they've really outdone themselves this year.

Daisy Rock guitar

Daisy Rock

Here are guitars that are designed to appeal to, and to be easily playable by girls learning to play the guitar. Daisy rock is a division of Schecter so you know they're built to be played.

Andreas Guitars

This guitar has one of the most interesting finishes I've ever seen. They call it a soft coating finish which is a good description. These guitars also have cool contoured bodies.

Albrecht guitar

Albrecht Guitars

I was starting to despair that there weren't any new acrylic see-through guitars this year until I came across these. But wait, these aren't made of acrylic, they're made of glass! They are a collaboration between a glass artist and a guitar maker. As you might expect they have a bright tone and sustain for days. While they look incredibly unique, they weigh a ton.

SoloEtte Travel Guitar

This is a full scale travel guitar. It comes with a detachable frame that puts the guitar in the normal position for playing. They also have a graphite neck model as well.

Palm Guitar

Palm Guitar

Another entry in the travel guitar category is the Palm Guitar. It's a short scale guitar made from a carbon/graphite composite and weights only 3 pounds. One feature that I particularly liked was that the case was made to Velcro to the telescoping handle on your suitcase.

Nomad Deluxe

Yet another entry in the travel guitar field is the Nomad Deluxe from Fernandes. They taken their normal Nomad guitar with the built-in amplifier and speaker (seen in the sound hole) and added a Digitech RP100 signal processor AND a drum machine.

Star Wars guitar

Star Wars Guitars

Fernandes was also showing a line of Star Wars guitars, complete with a guy dressed up in a storm trouper outfit. They've got various models and you can even get knobs shaped like little Star Wars character heads.

Wechter Guitars

Here's an acoustic with a double cutaway. This is a custom job but they also have less expensive production models. This would go nicely with an SG.

Italia guitar

Italia Guitars

Italia makes guitars that look like those old (cheap when they were made) guitars complete with metalflake finishes. The advantage here is that they are modern guitars without the maintenance problems that you often see in their ancestors.

Lieber Bass

I was struck by the unique design of this five string bass. The wood and the finish were just gorgeous. It's a custom luthier job so you can imagine that the quality and price are likely to be high.
