What you see here are tube devices, I'm not talking about the same old "it's got to have a tube" preamp scare of '90s, they make a VCO, filter and modulator that are all tube. They're not using standard 12AX7 tubes or anything like them for that matter, how about a 6BN6 tube designed as an FM radio detector? Take my word for it, there is nothing that sounds like these things. Don't expect anything normal from these though, they are very cool but very out there as well.

Surround Headphone Decoder

For the people who want to do surround mixing but don't have the six speakers or the room to put them in here is something that might help. It's a processor that will take a surround encoded signal, do some digital magic, and give you a fairly good front/back approximation over normal headphones. I tried it and it actually works. It's not nearly as discrete using six speakers but it's not bad.

Sherman Quad Modular Filter

Sherman Filterbank

Sherman makes some of the coolest analog filter units I've ever heard. This year they've come out with the Filterbank 2 which has some very nice improvements over the original (wanna buy my Filterbank 1 so I can buy a 2?). On the left is the limited edition Quad Modular Filter. They are only making 100 of these beasts and as of the NAMM show they were up to number 71.

Avalon modules

Avalon Design as you probably know make great sounding rack mount gear. What you see here are replacement module for a particular Sony console. You can buy the console frame, pop in a bunch of these guys and have something that sounds world-class for substantially less.

With this unique box you can mix and match guitar impedance devices with line level devices so you could use your Pultec in between stomp boxes or take a send from a board and put it into a guitar effect or amp. Sort of a multi-headed bi-directional reamp.

Raven Labs mixer

Here's a nice solution to the on-stage situation where you have both a mic and a piezo pickup and you don't want to give the sound guy a chance to screw things up. Each of the two channels have eq as well.

AcoustiLock

Here's a cabinet that you can put all your noisy devices in that doesn't have an external fan or require you to route air conditioning ducts to it. This uses a passive radiator design to get the heat out of the box. They've also made it east run your cables in and out by using removable foam blocks instead of holes.
