The Peterson Bottle Organ

The Peterson Bottle Organ

When I came upon this in my NAMM travels I felt like I'd finally found the Holy Grail of oddities. This is a full functional pipe organ whose pipes are made from Guinness bottles! This thing could even be played via MIDI.

The upside is that coming up with the building materials could be rewarding work, the downside is that they said it would cost in the neighborhood of $30,000 to build one.

Taguchi Omnidirectional Speaker System

I have no idea if these actually sound good or not, but they sure look cool. Each face of the cube contains four speakers and there is a small cube on top with six high frequency drivers

They also have other speaker configurations like hemispheres and 1/4 hemispheres for floor and corner applications

Mojo Tweed Clock

Mojo Tweed Clock

Just the thing for the tweed amp lover. A clock that looks just like the front of a vintage Fender amp. It's authentic looking because Mojo sells cabinets, grills, and other assorted parts for amplifiers.

Zydeco Ties

It's clothing you can play. These are ties actually made from thin corrugated aluminum. Wearing one of these would definitely make a statement.

Casio LK series keyboards

Casio LK series keyboards

I've seen light shows controlled via MIDI, now the keyboard is driven by the light show. It's another milestone in Casio's long history of making keyboards for the practicing-challenged.

a NAMM casualty

This poor guy just passed out while sitting in a hall outside the show, and it was only the second day of the show.
